Cafe Tamalli

Save

Cafe Tamalli set out to make a bold departure from past paradigms of standard, run-of-the-mill, Americanized Mexican restaurants that consumers were most familiar with.

Shook Kelley developed a prototype concept that found its roots in traditional and authentic Mexican flavors, design and textures.

Incorporating unique brand gestures and a contemporary Mexican tone of voice into the mix, the environment was hip and energetic, the colors were forward and courageous, the materials were tactile and engaging and the music was eclectic and complementary. But the quality that truly set Café Tamalli apart from its industry competition was in the food: The progressive menu featured gourmet, handmade Mexican tamales, oven-baked tortas and fresh salads prepared from family recipes passed down through the generations. Additionally, traditional Mexican coffee, espresso beverages and agua frescas were also vital components of not only the menu, but the overall brand experience as well.
