Props Restaurant & Bar

Save

Charlotte Restaurant Creations approached Shook Kelley with the huge objective of creating an eating environment that would seat up to 300 and overcome more than a dozen pre-existing obstacles.

Shook Kelley agreed to take the project under one condition—that they would suggest the initial development of the concept including the name, layout, format, menu, food positioning, uniforms, etc.—in an attempt to try out an experimental concept they were confident the public would embrace.

Captured the re-emerging trend of the martini bar

Targeting a Generation X crowd, Props focused on making its audience feel beautiful, and captured the re-emerging trend of the martini bar, offering every possible variety. “Fortunately for our client we saw a strategy that could work within their budget yet still hit the specific needs of this demographic,” quotes Kevin Kelley, Principal-in-Charge. The solutions entailed a series of ‘living room’ vignettes to promote social interaction.
