Pepperdine University, a Christian college and graduate school with its main campus located in Malibu, California, came to Shook Kelley seeking counsel on the optimal way to position the education brand.

The school’s leadership wanted guidance on how to stay true to its founding religious beliefs while remaining competitive in the crowded and mostly secular university marketplace. To this end, Shook Kelley suggested a Brand Strategy to redefine the image, meaning and potential of the brand using a unique method of segmentation that celebrated and embraced Pepperdine’s positive values, and could potentially help to raise the bar for higher education in America.
