Riverfall

Save

Riverfall is a new village proposed for a small town in Connecticut that will be nestled in a river valley.

This river is a tributary to the Naugatuck River and has been the lifeblood of the town since the industrial age. Numerous mills and factories utilized the hydraulic power of the river for manufacturing and processing purposes. Many of the millraces and spillways still exist as do vestiges of the old mill buildings. The project includes redevelopment of the site with mixed-use buildings that will include retail, restaurant, residential, office, hospitality and civic uses. The river banks and certain natural and historic areas within the site will be preserved as part of a public park that will serve as the starting point for a new greenway and trail system.
