Spring 2008 / Shook Kelley Scholarship Recipient Announced
Ms. Heather Skinner has been announced as the fourth recipient of the "Shook Kelley Design Scholarship" for the 2007-08 Academic Year. Ms. Skinner is a fifth year, graduating architecture student in the College of Architecture at UNC-Charlotte. Throughout her college career she has focused her efforts primarily on architecture that is built upon the principles of affordable sustainability. The announcement was made in Shook Kelley's behalf by Mr. Ken Lambla, AIA, Dean of the College of Architecture at UNC-Charlotte.

Shook Kelley established the "Shook Kelley Scholarship Award" in 2002 as an Award of Excellence. The scholarship is awarded each year to a chosen student upon completion of their fourth year of study in the College of Architecture. A primary goal of the Shook Kelley Scholarship Award is to give students additional incentive to complete their graduate studies in architecture prior to beginning their professional careers.
