Michael Dunning Principal
James Michael Dunning, AIA, NCARB, has 13 years of experience in urban planning, multi-family residential, retail, restaurant, office and civic design and architecture. His achievements include the award-winning design for the Cornelius Town Center, as well as playing a lead role on the urban design and planning team for Birkdale Village, one of the Charlotte region’s largest New Urbanist communities.
Mr. Dunning received a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, graduating cum laude in 1993. A member of several professional organizations, including the Congress for New Urbanism, North Carolina Downtown Development Association, and Architects, Designers, Planners for Social Responsibility, he is a frequent guest lecturer at various universities. |
